Pass the Plate
One of our oldest and most crucial fundraising efforts, Pass the Plate, dates back to 2011. Through Pass the Plate, Food for the Soul calls on our county’s churches, businesses, community organizations, and individuals to “pass the plate” by helping to provide meals, food support, overnight winter sheltering, emergency sheltering, and other services for the area’s hungry and homeless population.
We appreciate the Kershaw County community for its passion and commitment in supporting Food for the Soul’s core mission: Providing food and shelter for those in need in Kershaw County.

Christmas Mini Photoshoot
Join us for a festive Mini Photoshoot benefiting Food for the Soul! Enjoy a 15-minute holiday session with Julie Prickett of JP Photography, with all digital images included. Reservations are encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome as availability allows.

Outright Throwdown Softball Tournament
Come out for a day of softball and community support at the Outright Throwdown Adult Slowpitch Softball Tournament, benefiting Food for the Soul!

Michael's Turkey Fry
Let Food for the Soul help make your Thanksgiving a little easier! We will be deep-frying donated turkeys for community members to purchase and pick up just in time for Thanksgiving. Turkeys will be available for pickup on Wednesday, November 25th. All proceeds will support Food for the Soul and our mission to provide meals, shelter, and hope to our community.

The Polar Express Movie Night
All aboard for a magical Christmas movie night at the Camden Little Theatre! Gather your loved ones, cozy up, and enjoy a holiday experience featuring The Polar Express, festive treats, and special appearances from your favorite Christmas characters. It's the perfect way to make sweet holiday memories with family and friends!

Groucho's Deli Gives Back
Join us at Groucho’s Deli in Camden on Thursday, December 3, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a delicious way to support Food for the Soul! As part of Groucho’s Deli’s Gives Back program, 10% of eligible sales will be donated to Food for the Soul. Stop by for your favorite sandwich, salad, or meal and enjoy dinner knowing that your purchase is helping provide meals, shelter, and hope to individuals in our community. Groucho’s Deli is located at 168 Wall Street, Unit 201, Camden, SC. We are so grateful to Groucho’s for partnering with us and helping make a difference in the lives of those we serve! Holiday Mixer
Get into the holiday spirit with a little friendly competition! Food for the Soul is partnering with the Tennis Center of Camden for a Holiday Pickleball Mixer. Come dressed in your favorite holiday attire and enjoy a fun morning on the court while supporting a great cause. All proceeds benefit Food for the Soul!

Food for the Soul Volunteer Brunch
We are excited to celebrate and show our appreciation for the wonderful volunteers who make Food for the Soul's mission possible! Join us for a special Volunteer Appreciation Brunch as we gather to enjoy good food, fellowship, and time together. We are so grateful for the time, compassion, and dedication our volunteers pour into serving our community!

Holiday Ham Fry

Introducing Studyshack
Studyshack, a division of Food for the Soul, is launching in January 2027 to provide K–12 students with personalized, one-on-one tutoring, mentorship, and academic support. Located at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Camden, Studyshack is dedicated to helping students strengthen their skills, build confidence, develop better study habits, and reach their full potential.
- Program: One-on-one K–12 tutoring and mentorship

- Launch: January 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–6:30 PM
- Focus: Academic growth, confidence building, and independent learning
