Food Services

Every year, millions of Americans go hungry. Food for the Soul combats the rise in hunger in Kershaw County with various on-site and remote meal services. Our residents receive three nutritious meals a day.

Homeless Sheltering

Every day, there are men, women, and children who do not know where they will sleep, often at no fault of their own. Food for the Soul’s overnight sheltering facility is available year-round to victims of domestic violence, flood, or fire those who have been evicted and those who simply have nowhere else to go. Food for the Soul offers a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment seven days per week on a first-come, first-served basis. The shelter is available from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Overnight residents receive:

  • A hot meal is served at 6:30 PM.
  • Clean bed
  • Hygiene products and access to a shower
  • Coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner

If you are looking for a place to stay, please bring a form of identification. One of our staff members will walk you through an initial intake process and help you get settled in for the night.
