THINGS HAPPENING...

Food for the soul begins 2026 with a renewed mission to serve.

Transitional Rooms

For residents transitioning from the emergency shelter, Food for the Soul offers Phase I transitional rooms designed to bridge the gap between homelessness and independent living. These private or semi-private rooms are available to qualified individuals who have shown consistent progress in their initial residency and are actively working toward long-term stability. To maintain a sense of accountability and prepare for future housing expenses, residents in this phase are required to pay a small monthly rental fee. This supportive environment allows participants to stay for up to 8 months, providing a critical window of time to save money secure steady employment, and finalize permanent housing arrangements while still benefiting from the organization's case management and community resources.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

LIFE SKILLS 101: LEARNING TOGETHER

One of the brighter moments this season came through Life Skills 101 where learning didn't just happen in a classroom it happened together. During a recent session, Food for the Soul's executive director and grant writer were right alongside residents, building, class rịght with them as they explored practical life skills and everyday topics. The atmosphere was relaxed, encouraging, and full of conversation, reminding everyone present that growth happens best in community.
Food for the Soul shared that moments like these reflect the heart of the ministry walking. with residents,. not ahead of them, as they build confidence, knowledge and hope for the future

DAILY WORK BRING HOPE

While special moments and generous donations often make headlines. Food for the Soul's greatest impact is found in its steady day-to-day service to the community. Throughout January, the ministry, continued its core mission of providing food, shelter, and compassionate support to individuals facing, hunger and homelessness. Staff and volunteers worked behind the scenes each day to ensure neighbors had access to warm meals, a safe place to rest, and a sense of dignity during difficult times.Showing up every day matters and the reliable support we have from our staff and volunteers is life-changing or those experiencing uncertainty. As winter temperatures lingered n the month of January, we remained committed to meting needs with faith, service, and community partnership.

To our volunteers who show up faithfully, our staff who serve with compassion, our donors and partners who make the work possible, and our community members who believe in hope and dignity for all - thank you. Every role matters, and every act of kindness helps make a difference. Most importantly, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve and learn from those who walk through our doors each day.
